Alex Nicolaou is an LA-based Editor, working in films, commercials, fashion, and music videos. 

He brings a stylistic balance of tension and release to every edit, making every cut count.

Alex is a graduate of UC Santa Cruz, where he received a degree in Film + Digital Media. After working as an editorial PA at Sony Studios he joined the staff of Cinefamily, the legendary arthouse cinematheque, as a programmer and editor. There he helped pioneer a new standard of trailer editing for revival cinema, cutting fresh trailers for old movies, a practice that’s become standardized at theaters like Alamo Drafthouse. He continued this journey as the in house trailer editor for the production company Full Moon.

In the intervening years, he’s edited music videos, documentaries, commercial & social content, narrative shorts, and over a dozen feature length movies.

Alex is an LA Native living in Los Feliz. When he isn’t working in film, he composes for and tours with the band Drab Majesty.
